How it works

    Pick a size and send your app details.

    We reply with a payment link or a quote. Nothing starts until you've paid.

    Set up your side.

    You create a Supabase project in your own account and invite us. You run Lovable's database export (More → Database → Manage → Settings → Export data → Export → Start export; download it from More → Storage), or we run it if your invite allows. Then you run a few restore commands on your own computer into your new Supabase project, using your own database password and our step-by-step guide. You send us only the output, and we never see that password.

    Give us access.

    Invite us to your Lovable project and your new Supabase project. We never ask for your passwords, including your database password or your connection string.

    We do the rest.

    Once your restore is done, we check the tables, rules and data in your project and point your app at it, auth users included. On Medium and Large, storage files too. On Large, edge functions too.

    You check it.

    We tell you what moved and what to test. We remove our access when we're done.

What we can and can't promise

There's a lot involved in a move like this, so we don't promise zero downtime. For the final copy, your app pauses new sign-ups and changes for a short window we agree with you. Your Lovable Cloud backend stays untouched until you've checked everything. Don't remove it until you're happy: removing Lovable Cloud permanently deletes its database, backups, users and files.

Your users keep their passwords. Anyone who's signed in when we switch over will need to sign in again.

Timing

We aim to deliver within 3, 5 or 7 days of working access (Small, Medium, Large). We agree the switch-over time with you before we start.

FAQ

How do I export Lovable Cloud to my own Supabase?

Lovable doesn't do it in one step. You export the database from Lovable, then run a few restore commands into your Supabase project with your own database password, following our step-by-step guide. We never ask for that password. Files, sign-in settings, secrets and edge functions are set up again, and your app is pointed at the new project. We do that part with you.

Which size do I need?

Small: up to ~10 tables, no edge functions, auth users included. Medium and Large add storage files. Medium is up to about 30 tables. Large is about 31 to 60 tables, or up to 10 edge functions. Bigger than that, we quote separately.

Will my users have to log in again?

Yes, once. Sessions don't carry over, so anyone who's signed in will need to sign in again. Passwords stay the same on every size.

Will my app go down during the move?

There's a short pause while the final copy is exported and restored, and while we switch your app over. We agree the time with you first. We don't promise zero downtime.

Do I need to pay for Supabase?

The Supabase project is yours, on your own account and plan. Check Supabase's pricing to see which plan fits.

What if something goes wrong?

Keep your Lovable Cloud export, and don't remove Lovable Cloud, until you've checked the new setup. This move isn't covered by the 48-hour refund guarantee. Our Refund Policy applies, including a full refund if you never give us working access within 30 days of purchase.
