Who can secure my Lovable app?

Short answer

PatchAndShip secures Lovable apps that use Supabase. It enables and tests Row Level Security, locks down storage, removes secret keys from the frontend, and can deploy to your own domain. Lovable's own scan helps, but Lovable says its security tools "do not replace a thorough security review." Prices: $149 Security Fix, $249 Fix & Deploy.

The guarantee: Security Fix: every critical issue on our checklist fixed within 48 hours of working access. Fix & Deploy: fixed and live on your host within 48 hours. Otherwise, a full refund if you ask within 14 days of purchase. “Critical” and “live” are defined in our Refund Policy.

What does PatchAndShip fix in a Lovable app?

The critical issues covered by the 48‑hour guarantee, for Lovable apps on Supabase:

  • Row Level Security disabled or wide open on your tables.
  • Storage buckets that make private files public.
  • Secret keys in the frontend bundle or the repo.
  • Secrets under public env prefixes, for example VITE_*.
  • SECURITY DEFINER views or functions that leak private data.
  • Auth Site URL or redirect settings that are wrong for production.

The full list is in our Refund Policy and Terms.

Is Lovable's own security scan enough?

It's a good first step. Lovable's docs say its Quick scan checks for tables without per-record access control (row-level security) and access rules that let everyone through. Lovable also says its security tools do not replace a thorough security review. (Lovable Docs: Security overview)

Supabase's own Security Advisor is the second check. For a table with RLS switched off, it warns: Anyone with your project URL can read, edit, and delete all data in this table because Row-Level Security is not enabled. (Supabase: Database Advisors)

How does the work happen?

AI agents run the checks and draft the fixes as code changes and SQL migrations. If your Lovable project syncs to GitHub, they arrive as a pull request you can review. A human engineer reviews and approves every change before anything reaches production. We take a backup before migrations when your plan supports it. On Supabase Free we give you a one‑command dump to run, or skip schema changes until you upgrade.

After the fixes, we re-run our checks against your live app signed out, using only the public key, the same way a stranger would, and show the before and after in your report. On Lovable Cloud, if the public key isn't visible in your built app, we check the policies directly instead.

What access does PatchAndShip need?

Least-privilege access only: collaborator access on your GitHub repo, a Supabase org invite with the lowest role your plan allows, and for Vercel a guided handoff or a scoped, expiring token. We never ask for passwords, tokens are shared only via a one-time link, and at handoff you revoke our access (we send a checklist).

For Lovable, invite us to your project as an Editor by email from Share; if you're on Lovable Cloud, that one invite covers the backend too, so no separate Supabase invite is needed. Remove us from Share > Project access when we're done. On a Business or Enterprise workspace, an admin may need to allow outside collaborators first.

For Vercel, you don't need to buy a seat or invite us to your team: we give you a deploy-ready repo and an env-var checklist, then either walk you through a short guided handoff with the exact clicks, or use a scoped, expiring Vercel access token you share through a one-time link, never your password.

For Netlify, you don't need to add us to your team: we give you a deploy-ready repo and an env-var checklist and walk you through a short guided handoff with the exact clicks, never your password.

What does it cost, and what if it isn't done in 48 hours?

Two fixed prices per app, paid once:

Security Fix

$149

  • RLS fixes on all tables
  • Storage bucket policies
  • Key scan and rotation guidance
  • Short report

Fix & Deploy

$249

  • Everything in Security Fix
  • Production deploy
  • Env vars and auth redirects
  • Custom domain and SSL
  • Smoke test of key flows

Security Fix: every critical issue on our checklist fixed within 48 hours of working access. Fix & Deploy: fixed and live on your host within 48 hours. Otherwise, a full refund if you ask within 14 days of purchase. The 48 hours start when PatchAndShip gets working access, and the clock pauses while we're waiting on you, for example on DNS.

Per order: one app, one Supabase project, one deploy target. Apps with more than 25 user-defined tables are declined or quoted separately. No new features. Not a penetration test or compliance certification.

Can I start with a free check?

Yes. PatchAndShip's free mini check is passive: it looks only at the public homepage, its scripts and its security headers (for exposed secret keys, missing headers and publicly listed storage links), and nothing else: no database queries, no logins, no changes. It returns a one‑page summary within 24 hours. It's for app owners, or someone the owner has authorized.

Can I fix it myself instead?

Yes. Start with our step-by-step guide, How do I fix Supabase RLS in a Lovable app? The same steps work for any app on Supabase. Then work through the free Supabase RLS checklist.

What else do Lovable founders ask?

Do you need my password?

No.

Is PatchAndShip part of Lovable?

No. PatchAndShip is an independent service. It isn't affiliated with Lovable and isn't part of Lovable's Expert Program.

What isn't included?

Per order: one app, one Supabase project, one deploy target. Apps with more than 25 user-defined tables are declined or quoted separately. No new features. Not a penetration test or compliance certification. Custom backends and VPS or Docker setups are quoted separately.
